We will be delivering significant updates to Ready Apprentice corresponding to the new changes released in Contract 8. These changes will be available from July 1st, 2024 and can be grouped into the following areas:
Key Client Cohorts
New fields will be introduced in the Registration section under the Client Details tab. These fields include 'Woman in Male Dominated Trade', 'Working Remotely' and 'New Energy', and they will display either a blank, yes or no value. These values will be captured from ADMS as part of Apprenticeships imports.
New client cohort flags are being added for Women in Male Dominated Trade (WMDT), First Nations and Working Remotely. Indigenous and Disabled Flags were already available within Ready Apprentice. Along with these cohorts, New Energy Flag will alos show when we get the value from ADMS.
For instance, a yellow WMDT flag will show when 'Woman in Male Dominated Trade' is selected as 'yes'. Similarly, when the 'Working Remote' box is ticked, a 'Remote' flag will appear. Users can also expect a green 'New Energy' flag when 'New Energy' is selected.
Override Client Cohort Information
To enhance the functionality, Ready Apprentice will be introducing the ability to override the WMDT, Remote, and New Energy cohort details even after they are sourced from ADMS.
Under the Registration tab, in client details, new fields labelled 'Override Woman in Male Dominated Trade', 'Override Remote', and 'Override New Energy' will be available. These fields can be blank or set to 'yes' or 'no'.
The override fields will determine the cohort flags with priority over the original fields. However, if the override field is set to blank, the original value will be considered.
Service Group Enhancements
In addition to cohort-specific updates, the 'Service Group' field will be introduced under the Registration tab. The service group can contain the values 'General', 'Enhanced', or 'Blank'.
Based on the service group classification, a 'General' or 'Enhanced' flag will be displayed on the Registration and Training Contract pages. The colour coding for the flags will be green for 'General' and red for 'Enhanced'.
The 'Woman in Male Dominated Trade' and the 'Working Remotely' details will be imported from ADMS and displayed under the registration tab.
Search and Report Capabilities
To improve data management and usability, we are extending the search, report, and export functionalities to accommodate the new changes under the Contract 8 enhancements.
Service Group Filter:
Users will be able to add a 'Service Group' (Blank, General, and Enhanced options) filter in Registration/ Training Contract/ Claims Search Pages.
For generating reports, a new 'Service Group' export option will be available in the Registration/ Training Contract/ Claims search pages.
WMDT and Remote Filters:
Similar to the 'Service Group', 'WMDT?' (blank/Yes/No) and 'Remote?' (Yes/No) filters will be introduced under the Registration/ Training Contract/ Claims Search Pages. 
Please note that these filter searches will work in sync with other available filters, and they will not break, regardless of whether the Contract 8 enhancements are turned on or off.
Override Service Group Details
To provide finer control over the service group details, we are enabling the ability to override the Service Group.
Within the Registration > Registration tab > Client Details, a new field called 'Override Service Group' will be available which can store either Blank/General/Enhanced values. Users can change these values as many times as required.
If the Override field has a value, then it will take precedence over the original field. In case the Override field is blank, the original value will be considered.
