MessageMedia: Templates not sending correctly

Introduction

MessageMedia uses GSM character sets to send messages through Ready Apprentice!

If you create a template and you include a character that's not in the GSM set, your message will be converted to Unicode instead!

This will cause your SMS to not send correctly and cut off halfway through!

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot your templates and make sure they are using the correct GSM characters!

Steps

Identify which SMS template you wish to check, the template can be selected via Settings>Templates>Email&SMS settings

As we can see above, the © character is highlighted red, this means the character is not present in the GSM character set!

Remove the character or replace it with a character within the GSM set ( the set can be viewed here

Once the character is removed or replaced you can see the template has nothing highlighted red anymore!

Copy the text from https://www.textmagic.com/free-tools/unicode-detector and replace the text in your template in Ready Apprentice!

Your template will now send out correctly!
